Referral & Points Terms

1. Cashback mechanics
Horura's rebate replaces commission: sellers fund a single rebate (10% of the sale by default) instead of paying a separate platform fee. That rebate splits into three legs — one third to you as the buyer (as points), one third to whoever referred you, and one third to Horura. There is no price gate: the rebate never changes what you pay for a booking.
2. Referral mechanics
Your referral link/code connects you to anyone who signs up through it — but only one level deep. You earn when people YOU invited spend; you never earn from people they invite. Your referral relationship is set once, at signup, and can never be changed afterward. If a seller you referred later has their own buyer's referral leg, that leg merges into your earnings instead of the seller earning it themselves — sellers never earn a referral leg from their own recruited buyers.
3. Points terms
1 point = 10 sen (10 pts = RM 1.00). Points from a booking are visible immediately but only become spendable 7 days after the trip's checkout, delivery, or event date, to protect against refund abuse. Points expire 12 months after they're earned; we'll remind you by email 30 days and again 7 days before expiry. Points are for spending on Horura only — they can't be withdrawn to a bank account.
4. Clawback and points debt
If an order is refunded or cancelled after points were earned on it, we claw back the corresponding points proportionally — from the originating lot first, then other lots if needed. If you've already spent points that get clawed back and have no lots left to deduct from, the shortfall becomes a points debt, shown on your wallet page. Your balance never goes negative — the debt is cleared automatically from your next points earned, with no other action needed from you.
5. Fraud prevention
Each verified identity may hold one account. Referring yourself, or a circular chain where two accounts refer each other, is blocked automatically when the second edge would be created. We monitor for wash-trading patterns (repeated buy-refund cycles between the same accounts) and may freeze an account's ability to redeem points — earning is unaffected — while a case is reviewed.
6. Redemption & vouchers
Spendable points can be redeemed for cash vouchers or sponsor gifts in the voucher catalog. A verified phone number is required before your first redemption. Redemptions are final once issued and cannot be reversed.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the rebate and points program evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top of this page.
